The army extinguished the forest fire

On the 7th of April we experienced an unpleasant forest fire. The kids and the staff from the monastery were watching the flying smoke from the forest. Sometimes we saw the flames as well. So our kids with a teacher went up and they confirmed, yes, this is a forest fire. (Fortunately it was not like as it is usually in Australia.)

The fire was coming down in a 2-3 km wide lane. Our school would have been burnt if the army would not arrive in time. The fire was 1 km away from our school when we heard shouting from the forest. For me it sounded cheerful, but probably they just signed each other during action. They used leafy branches for extinguishing and they managed to do it in 1-2 hours. After that they came down and we asked to take a photo of them.

We are very thankful for this small army group that they made their work properly and quickly.
